About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated School to Community Club Lead to strengthen and progress the pathway from schools into Wasp Community Club (WCC) football programmes.
You will lead the delivery of our School of Football and Learning Through Football programmes, helping young people progress into community teams, coaching, volunteering and leadership opportunities. Working closely with schools, colleagues and community partners, you will create clear pathways that encourage lifelong participation in football and support personal development.
Contract: Initial 12-month contract, subject to further funding.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Clackmannanshire Schools, The Hive and WCC community club settings
Reports to: General Manager
Responsible for: Sessional coaches, young leaders and volunteer coaches (where appropriate)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the School of Football programme at Alloa Academy.
- Lead and develop the Wasp Community Club.
- Manage the delivery, planning and reporting of the Learning Through Football programme.
- Increase participation and progression into WCC community club teams.
- Develop and support young leaders, volunteer coaches and sessional coaches.
- Build strong links between school programmes, The Hive, Extra Time and community football teams.
- Lead or co-deliver football-based employability activities alongside the Employability and Health Lead.
- Monitor participation and progression, maintaining records and reporting outcomes to funders and partners.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience delivering football or sports development programmes in grassroots and educational settings.
- Experience and knowledge of grassroots football.
- UEFA C-Licensed Coach (Preferable B-License).
- Experience working with children and young people in grassroots and school settings.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Experience of running, managing and reporting on partner projects (SFA, SPFL, etc).
- Ability to build positive relationships with schools, families and community partners.
- A passion for developing young people through sport.
- Desire to work days and evenings.
Desirable
- Experience developing coaches, volunteers or young leaders.
- Knowledge of school sport, grassroots football and player development pathways.
- Experience delivering education or employability programmes through sport.
- First Aid trained.
