NIGHT PORTER – HOTEL
We are looking for a reliable, responsible and hardworking Night Porter to join our hotel team.
The Night Porter will be responsible for looking after the hotel during the night, assisting guests and ensuring the hotel remains safe, clean and well organised.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the night reception and welcome late-arriving guests.
- Carry out late-night check-ins and early-morning check-outs.
- Assist guests with enquiries, requests and any problems during the night.
- Answer telephone calls and deal with guest enquiries professionally.
- Monitor the hotel throughout the night and ensure doors and access points are secure.
- Maintain a calm, safe and welcoming environment for guests.
- Complete night checks and report any maintenance or security issues.
- Prepare and maintain reception and hotel areas.
- Assist with basic cleaning and housekeeping duties when required.
- Help prepare the hotel for the following day's operations.
- Maintain accurate records, including guest arrivals, departures and overnight incidents.
- Handle emergencies appropriately and contact the relevant person or emergency service when necessary.
- Assist with general hotel duties as required.
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel during the night.

- Able to deal calmly with unexpected situations
- Organised and able to follow hotel procedures
- Flexible and willing to assist with housekeeping and general duties
- Good at communicating with guests and colleagues
- Previous hotel or night porter experience is preferred but not essential
Important
This is an all-round night role, so the successful candidate must be willing to assist with reception, guest service, basic housekeeping, security checks and general hotel duties when required.
