Hours Sunday night to Friday morning, starting at 11:00pm until the work is completed

The successful candidate will work closely with management and gradually take on more responsibility for the day-to-day operation, helping to free up senior management to focus on developing and growing the company.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position combining delivery driving, warehouse and loading duties, customer service, administration and operational support. Accuracy, reliability and the ability to use your own initiative are essential.
- Start from our Colchester unit at approximately 11:00pm, Sunday night through to Friday morning.
- Drive to London to collect additional products that we do not hold in stock, collate orders and complete deliveries.
- Load and unload meat products from the van; the role involves regular manual handling and lifting.
- Check stock loaded onto the vehicle against invoices before leaving.
- Check deliveries and paperwork accurately at each customer drop.
- Prepare clear and accurate handwritten invoices and complete paperwork to a high standard.
- Use a calculator confidently to add up invoices, check figures and ensure totals are correct.
- Speak confidently with customers in person and over the telephone, dealing with queries professionally.
- Take and place customer orders when required.
- Assist with administration and provide cover during holidays or absences.
- Learn key operational and administrative processes with a view to taking on greater responsibility over
time.
About You
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Confident producing handwritten paperwork and invoices accurately. Comfortable checking figures and totals using a calculator.
- Reliable, organised and able to work accurately without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking stock, invoices and deliveries.
- A confident and professional communicator with good customer service skills.
- Comfortable speaking to customers on the phone, answering questions and taking orders.
- Physically able and comfortable with regular manual handling and lifting.
- Willing to use initiative, learn different areas of the business and take responsibility.
- Looking for a genuine long-term career rather than simply another driving role.
