Nursery Room Leader – Level 5 Early Years Apprenticeship
Location: Liss, Hampshire (next to the train station)
Salary: £13.00 – £13.75 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Full-time or part-time (20–40 hours per week)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our warm and friendly nursery in Liss, located right next to the train station in the heart of this beautiful Hampshire village.
This role offers the opportunity to complete a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship, supporting you to further develop your leadership skills while working within our supportive nursery team.

The successful candidate will lead either our Pre-School room or Baby/Under 2s room, depending on experience and strengths.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team within the nursery room to deliver high-quality early years care and education
- Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted at all times
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
- Support the early identification of additional needs (SEND) where appropriate
- Ensure the room operates in line with EYFS requirements, safeguarding and nursery policies
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Support daily routines appropriate to the age group, including mealtimes, sleep routines and personal care
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events where required
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- DBS check (update service preferred) or willingness to obtain one
- Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene training (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working with babies or pre-school children is beneficial
