Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:30pm (1 hour lunch) or as operationally required
Salary: £33,205 per annum
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Antrim. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to become part of a busy transport operation supporting deliveries and collections throughout Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, vehicle care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles with the appropriate goods in line with delivery documentation.
- Carry out delivery and collection tasks as directed.
- Complete daily and weekly vehicle roadworthiness checks.
- Ensure vehicles are fuelled, booked out and maintained in communication with the Transport Office throughout the working day.
- Comply with all UK road traffic legislation whilst driving on company business.
- Accurately record working hours using the Company's Timeware system.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all company policies and directives relating to transport and warehouse operations.
- Exercise an appropriate duty of care for all goods passing through the warehouse and during transportation.
- Wash and clean vehicles as operationally required, ensuring each vehicle is cleaned at least once per week throughout the year.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or projects as directed by the Transport or Warehouse Manager.
Essential Criteria
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Manual Handling training.
- Clean driving licence.
- Experience of multi-drop operations.
- Good working knowledge of towns and cities throughout Northern Ireland.
