We are currently recruiting a Plumber to support maintenance operations across a large hospital estate in Birmingham.

This role focuses on water system maintenance and compliance tasks within a hospital environment, ensuring systems remain safe and fully operational.
The Role
Working as part of the estates maintenance team, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on water systems across the hospital site.
The role will mainly be based within the acute hospital, with occasional work across other healthcare buildings on the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on water systems
- Legionella control tasks including:
- Temperature monitoring
- Shower head cleaning and disinfection
- TMV servicing
- Buffer vessel blowdowns
- Maintenance of domestic hot and cold water systems
- Responding to reactive plumbing repairs
- Maintaining plant records and compliance logbooks
- Updating work records through the site maintenance system
- Working safely in line with health & safety procedures
Requirements
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing / Heating / Ventilation
- Experience working with water systems or plumbing maintenance
- Knowledge of Legionella control (ACoP L8 / HTM04-01) desirable
- Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team
Previous hospital or facilities maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
