About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Takeaway Chef (Male/Female) to join our friendly team in East Ham, London. This is a hands-on role in a small but busy takeaway serving a mix of Pakistani, Indian (Desi) and English food.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food quality, and provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Desi and English takeaway meals.
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented to a high standard.
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Pack takeaway and delivery orders accurately.
- Take customer orders and process counter payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen and serving area.
- Monitor stock levels and report when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow all food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a takeaway or fast-paced kitchen.
- Ability to prepare Desi and/or English takeaway food.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards.
- Right to work in the UK.
