Their South Yorkshire based facility is one of the largest manufacturing sites in the group and a centre of excellence for the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance (certification and calibration) of all equipment in the test lab
· Responsible for maintaining the data that is produced, documented and stored correctly to facilitate the project lead/manager accessing the relevant information for each project.
· Be the representative of the testing (durability and approvals) specification for all new product development projects
· Contribute to changes to existing products to improve performance, efficiency and reduce costs
· Support the continuous improvement of the working procedures for a stable, efficient and effective engineering process
· Contribute in the use of design tools as set out by the NPD process, including DFM, DFA and FMEA.
· Work with the PVT and certification engineer to make sure all products are all up to date and have the relevant certification and testing carried out for the life of the product.
· Look at the use of where AI can be used to better support the process.
· Undertake technical administration activities as required.
· Reading and understanding of 3D models to do data gathering.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
Required Education/ Knowledge:
· Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
· Communicative skills, vocal, writing and reading
- Planning, controlling and reporting skills
- Affinity with 3D designing
- Management of change experience, Motivator
- Project management experience would be beneficial
- Familiarisation with Bill of Materials (BOM) system.
- Understanding of BOM structure and part numbers.
- Accuracy is critical.
- Ability to rigidly follow a structured process.
- Sound understanding of solid works and the ability to read drawings.
- A degree in Engineering would be advantageous.
- Microsoft Office applications

About the package
The hours of work are 38.5 hours per week over 5 days, Mon-Fri 5. The successful candidate will be remunerated with a competitive salary and package up to £28,500.00 per annum.
