We are seeking a dependable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, lorries, or cars, in accordance with road safety regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely collection and delivery of goods or passengers.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring they are secured during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance checks.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and recipients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Category B for cars, Category C for lorries).
- Proven experience as a driver or in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical fitness for loading/unloading cargo and long periods of driving.
- A clean driving record is preferred; a background check may be required prior to employment.
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
