The Role
Are you passionate about helping people develop new skills and achieve their goals? We're looking for a Business and Professional Studies Trainer to deliver engaging training programmes that equip adult learners with the knowledge, confidence and qualifications needed to succeed in work and life. You will work closely with learners to support their development, deliver high-quality training in business and professional skills, and help individuals progress into employment or further opportunities. If you are an enthusiastic communicator with industry knowledge, a passion for learning and the ability to inspire others, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop, manage and maintain excellent relationships with students.
- To design bespoke teaching, delivery and assessment plans to meet the requirements of the qualification standards and internal College quality standards.
- To plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities.
- To provide information, advice and guidance to learners and to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.

Qualifications
- To hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant business or professional subject (e.g. Business Administration, Customer Service, Management, Leadership, Digital Skills or equivalent).
- To be a qualified teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate qualification on appointment to the post.
- Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Assessor and Verifier Awards – Desirable.
- Teaching or Training Qualification – Desirable.
Experience
- Experience of delivering accredited qualifications and embedding English, maths and digital skills.
- Experience of working with employers and supporting employability or workforce development.
- Experience of delivering training, teaching or coaching to adult learners.
- Experience of supporting learners to achieve their learning, employment and career goals.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners, overcoming barriers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Good digital skills and experience of using Microsoft 365 and online learning platforms.
