The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the safe mobilisation and day-to-day delivery of a complex care packages, working closely with their family, commissioners, and multidisciplinary teams
- Recruit, train, supervise, and retain a dedicated care team built around the needs of the individual client
- Maintain and embed policies, procedures, care plans, and risk assessments that meet CQC regulations and the fundamental standards, with ongoing support from our compliance partner
- Ensure full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and CQC's single assessment framework
- Oversee clinical governance, medication management, safeguarding, and incident reporting, ensuring lessons are learned and embedded
- Manage rosters, care delivery quality, and continuity of care with a hands-on approach
- Build strong relationships with service users, their family, ICB commissioners, social workers, and healthcare professionals
- As the service matures, lead the careful assessment and onboarding of a small number of additional specialist packages
About You
Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People or Adults pathway), or willingness to complete within an agreed timeframe
- Proven experience managing or deputy managing a domiciliary care or complex care service
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and the single assessment framework
- Experience working with children and young people, and a solid understanding of safeguarding for both children and adults
- Confident recruiting, developing, and leading small care teams
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), or willingness to obtain one
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager or of the CQC registration process
- Nursing qualification (RN, RNLD, RSCN) and clinical background in complex care
- Experience working with commissioned care packages
- Experience of transitioning a package of care from an incumbent provider
