Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional 3.5t Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics and distribution operations. The position is full-time and involves driving a 3.5-tonne van, with an emphasis on safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate a 3.5t van to deliver goods to clients and designated locations across the region
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines and optimise efficiency
- Assist with loading and unloading items.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior at all times
- Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and loading activities
Requirements
- Preferred but not necessary experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, preferably with 3.5t vans or similar vehicles
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively
- Ability to organise routes efficiently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK
