We are looking for an experienced and motivated ID Litigation Handler to join our expanding legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in litigated personal injury claims who enjoys managing a varied caseload and delivering outstanding client service.
The Role
As an ID Litigation Handler, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of litigated insurance defence files from inception through to settlement or trial. You will work closely with clients, insurers, counsel and other stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of litigated insurance defence claims.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings and witness statements.
- Review and analyse evidence, medical reports and expert opinions.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, barristers, courts and third parties.
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
- Prepare cases for hearings and trial.
- Ensure all files are managed in line with court deadlines and internal SLAs.
- Maintain accurate case records and provide regular updates to clients.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience handling litigated insurance defence or personal injury claims.
- A solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
- A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
