As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Head of Sales & Operations to become a key member of our leadership team.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead both the commercial and operational functions of the business.
Your primary objective will be to create a high-performance sales culture that consistently delivers revenue growth while ensuring the operational side of the business supports outstanding customer service and efficient delivery.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to lead from the front, coach your team, identify new commercial opportunities and continuously improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing internal and external sales team.
- Recruit, mentor and retain talented sales professionals.
- Create a culture of accountability, ambition and continuous improvement.
- Set individual and team KPIs, objectives and development plans.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates and sales activity using CRM reporting.
- Develop incentive programmes that reward high performance.
- Identify skills gaps and implement ongoing training and development.
- Manage performance proactively, including structured improvement plans where required.
Commercial Strategy
- Develop and deliver the company's commercial growth strategy.
- Identify new revenue streams, markets and strategic partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, vendors and technology partners.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Produce accurate forecasting, budgeting and commercial reporting.
- Drive profitable growth while maintaining healthy margins.
Operations Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities supporting the sales function.
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Logistics and Customer Services.
- Improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure stock planning aligns with sales demand.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline workflows.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards across the business.
Leadership
- Act as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Help shape company strategy and long-term growth.
- Lead regular sales meetings and business reviews.
- Build succession plans for future leaders.
- Encourage collaboration across all departments.
- Champion continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Essential Experience
- Proven success in a senior sales leadership position.
- Experience leading successful B2B sales teams.
- Strong coaching, mentoring and people development skills.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering sustained sales growth.
- Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, KPIs and forecasting.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience implementing sales processes and CRM disciplines.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Desirable
- Experience within IT distribution, enterprise hardware or technology sales.
- Knowledge of server, storage, networking and data centre technologies.
- Experience working with vendors and channel partners.
- Understanding of procurement, logistics and supply chain operations.
