Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and multidrop, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety standards. The Driver will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service and supporting the smooth operation of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or potential issues
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance activities
- Uphold a professional appearance and behaviour at all times when representing the organisation
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Strong communication skills in English not mandatory , both verbal and written
- Ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps effectively
- Prior experience in delivery driving is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively
- Responsible attitude with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service standards
Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
