About the Role
We are looking for a practical, reliable and technically minded Arcade & Photo Booth Field Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team.
This is a full-time, field-based role, with the majority of your time spent travelling to customer venues across the UK to service, repair, install and maintain our arcade machines and photo booths.
Our equipment is installed in a wide variety of locations including entertainment venues, bars, leisure centres, shopping centres and other high-footfall sites.
You will be provided with a company vehicle, tools, equipment and training required to carry out the role.
We're looking for someone who enjoys fault finding and fixing things, is comfortable working independently and takes pride in getting equipment operational again.
Previous arcade or photo booth experience would be beneficial, but is not essential for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to venues across the UK to repair and maintain arcade machines and photo booths.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
- Carry out on-site repairs and replace faulty components.
- Install and configure card payment terminals and coin mechanisms.
- Diagnose issues with payment systems, wiring and machine communications.
- Carry out basic soldering and wiring repairs.
- Repair and replace switches, sensors, power supplies, motors, buttons, screens and other components.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments.
- Install new arcade machines and photo booths at customer venues.
- Remove and relocate machines when required.
- Test machines following repairs to ensure they are fully operational.
- Carry essential spare parts and equipment within the company vehicle.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, faults and parts replaced.
- Identify recurring faults and report potential improvements.
- Carry out preventative maintenance during venue visits.
- Communicate professionally with venue managers and customers.
- Escalate more complex technical issues when required.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle.
- Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.

What We're Looking ForEssential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident using hand and power tools.
- Good mechanical ability.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working independently.

- Comfortable travelling throughout the UK.
- Willing to occasionally stay away overnight when required.
- Flexible approach to working hours when installations or emergency repairs require it.
Desirable
- Experience using a soldering iron.
- Welding or metal fabrication experience.
- Electrical or electronic repair experience.
- Experience repairing arcade, vending, gaming or amusement equipment.
- Experience repairing machinery or electromechanical equipment.
- Experience with card payment terminals and coin mechanisms.
- Basic computer/IT knowledge.
The Type of Person We Want
You don't necessarily need to have worked on arcade machines before.
We're particularly interested in people who are naturally hands-on and technically minded.
If you're the type of person who can look at a machine that isn't working, investigate the problem, use a multimeter and tools, trace wiring, replace components and logically work out what's wrong, this could be the right role for you.
You should also be comfortable representing the company at customer venues and communicating professionally with venue staff.
Travel
This is not a warehouse-based engineering position.
You will spend the majority of your working week travelling between customer locations across the UK.
There may be occasions where overnight stays are required depending on the location and workload.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable with regular driving and working independently on the road.
