Summary of Role
The Finance Administrator will support the day-to-day financial administration of the business, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently whilst providing excellent service to both customers and suppliers.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and other departments, you will play an important role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business and supporting operational efficiency. The role is a vital link between the sales, operations and finance teams, so the ability to communicate well and manage multiple priorities is important.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail, strong analytical and administration skills and a positive proactive customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into our CRM system (Axis Diplomat).
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, including daily cash postings, chasing debtors, goods receiving in and matching with purchase orders, processing invoices, verifying payment details, and ensuring timely payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organised records of financial documents, receipts, and transaction logs for audit readiness.
- Posting petty cash and credit card transactions.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks related to accounts receivable, expense tracking, and all other financial reporting when needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication regarding financial matters and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
Experience
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and invoice management is essential.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial services industry practices is a plus but not required as we will provide training.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software systems and procedures in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving are key to success in this role.

Qualifications
- While no specific qualifications are required, proven experience in an accounting or finance role is essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders – customers and suppliers.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash allocation.
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous finance or accounts administration experience in a similar role
- Experienced in using accounting / CRM software .
- Experience of Excel and Microsoft Office.
