We are looking for an HPCP registered, enthusiastic, dedicated and highly skilled Senior Band 7 Radiographer to join the team at Charing Cross Hospital.
Candidates should be skilled in CT contrast studies and ideally MRI or IR and have recent extensive Band 6 experience.
As a band 7 radiographer you will rotate across all modalities and be reponsible for supporting your managers in ensuring that service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.
The post will give you the opportunity to build on and extend your clinical expertise and develop your management and leadership skills. Education and training are key elements of the department, and the applicant should have a good knowledge of all specialized modalities. Being flexible and innovative in your ways of working will be fundamental to your role and good communication skills are essential.
Be accountable for direct delivery of the full range of highly specialist clinical/technical services needed to support the Trusts fleet of dialysis equipment and associated water treatment plants.
Ensure that no patient treatments are lost owing to lack of adequate maintenance; equipment must be safe and available to professional users whenever required. This will necessitate identifying where backup contingencies are required.
Exercise judgement to determine whether an item of equipment or consumable is hazardous and withdraw it from service. Base the judgement on an assessment of the clinical risks of interrupting any treatment dependent on the equipment.
Responsible for working within a budget set for Renal Technical Services Department which will include parts, repairs and sundry items, such as IT.
Authoriser for the Trusts e-procurement programme within delegated limits for Medical Equipment upkeep, working within the financial targets set ensuring compliance with Trust’s Standing Orders.
Responsible for line management of staff including recruitment, discipline and appraisal.
Ensure that the Trust’s HR policies are adhered to.
Responsible for working within the Trust’s Medical Equipment Policy framework and implementing any policy changes.
Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate. Participate in the on call 24/7 technical cover out of hour’s rota.
