My client is an established and successful property business with an excellent reputation within the property and investment sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Asset Manager to join their team.
Based within the asset management team, this is a hands-on role responsible for managing and maximising the performance of a diverse property portfolio. The role will involve working across both short and long-term lease arrangements, with a particular focus on working with local authorities and other key stakeholders to maximise occupancy, income and long-term asset value.
The Role:
- Take responsibility for the performance and management of a property portfolio
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximise income and capital value
- Identify opportunities for rental growth, lease renewals, regears and improved returns
- Review property performance and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and asset management plans
- Identify and oversee refurbishment and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with property management and other internal teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors, tenants and other key stakeholders
- Monitor market conditions and provide advice on property performance and investment opportunities
- Manage external contractors, consultants and professional advisers where required
- Produce regular reports and updates on portfolio performance
- Take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and resolving issues
- Ensure properties are managed effectively in line with agreed investment objectives
Who we need:
- Previous experience within an Asset Management role within the property sector
- Strong understanding of residential property and property investment
- Experience managing a property portfolio
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Good understanding of rental income, property performance and investment returns
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently
- Confident dealing with landlords, investors and other senior stakeholders
