Brooks Deli & Wine Bar is an independent neighbourhood destination in the heart of Mickleover, offering artisan coffee, fresh seasonal food, fine wine and a vibrant small plates dining experience.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate & ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team & help drive standards, creativity & consistency.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef and senior management team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in delivering high quality food consistently.
- Leading service in Head Chefs absence.
- Assisting with the menu development and seasonal specials.
- Maintaining food safety & food hygiene.
- Training & supporting junior team members.
- Managing stock rotation and minimising waste.
- Helping achieve food GP targets while maintaining quality.
Ensuring excellent presentation & attention to detail on every plate
