Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coding Tutor and Assistant to join our growing team. This is a part-time, permanent role, ideal for someone passionate about teaching technology and working with children. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences during our courses and holiday camps.
We are particularly looking for candidates with strong experience in Scratch, Roblox/Minecraft, Unity, and 3D Blender, as well as a flexible attitude toward learning new tools and platforms as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver small group sessions tailored to the needs of each student.
- Support children of all ages with coding and digital creative tasks in an engaging and accessible way.
- Use ready developed lesson plans based on students’ learning goals and skill levels.
- Monitor and evaluate progress, adapting your teaching style where necessary.
- Create a fun, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and any areas for improvement.
- Support holiday and after-school coding clubs and summer camps.
Key Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational or mentoring capacity is essential.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrable skills in Scratch, Roblox Studio or Minecraft coding, Unity, and 3D modelling with Blender.
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn new platforms, languages, or tools as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Friendly, patient, and positive attitude with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with other tools or platforms such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python, App Inventor, Adobe Creative Suite, etc., is a bonus.
