Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and guest satisfaction. Previous experience in hotel or janitorial services is preferred, but training will be provided for the right applicant.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as corridors, lobbies, and restrooms
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored securely after use
- Adhere to organisational standards for hygiene and presentation at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and procedures is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with organisational skills
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if required
Shift Pattern
We can offer straight shifts, 2 to 3 days out of a 7 day rota, with additional hours available depending on staff holiday & absence.
