Kitchen Assistant Wanted – The Portskewett Inn
The Portskewett Inn is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
This role would suit someone who is organised, able to work well under pressure, and happy to support the kitchen during busy service times.
Applicants must be 18 or over to apply.
Duties will include:
- Assisting the kitchen team with daily food preparation
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised
- Washing up and maintaining clean work areas
- Supporting chefs during busy service
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Helping with stock rotation and basic kitchen tasks
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Willing to learn and take direction
- A good team player
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person.
