The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Commercial Administrator to join our project team at Sea Link Minster Project.
The Commercial Administrator will support the commercial management of the Sea Link Minster project by maintaining robust commercial records, administering change and claims processes, supporting subcontract management, assisting with cost reporting and helping protect contractual entitlement under the Contract.
The role will provide administrative support to the commercial team and assist in ensuring that commercial information, records and documentation are maintained accurately and in a timely manner throughout the lifecycle of the project.
What You Will Be Doing

Maintain and update commercial records, filing systems, trackers, registers and project documentation to ensure information remains accurate and accessible.

Support the administration of change management processes, including maintaining change registers and assisting with contractual communications.

Assist with subcontract administration, procurement documentation and the management of commercial records associated with suppliers and subcontractors.

Support the preparation of cost reports, commercial reports and other project-related reporting requirements.

Monitor key commercial deadlines, ensuring that documentation, approvals and records are completed and filed in a timely manner.

Coordinate and manage document control activities relevant to the commercial function.

Assist with the preparation, distribution and tracking of commercial correspondence and project documentation.

Provide administrative support to Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and the wider commercial team as required.

Attend meetings where necessary, record actions and support the follow-up of commercial activities.

Ensure compliance with project procedures, document management requirements and company standards.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
-
Previous administration experience, ideally gained within a construction, engineering, infrastructure or commercial environment.

Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads and maintain accurate records.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong data entry and document management capabilities.
Desirable:
-
Experience supporting commercial, quantity surveying, procurement or project teams.

Basic understanding of subcontract administration, commercial processes or change management procedures.

Experience using electronic document management systems and project databases.

Familiarity with construction or infrastructure project environments.

Understanding of commercial reporting requirements and project controls processes. Understanding of labour, plant, material, and subcontract cost allocation
