Gilson Gray’s New Business team are part of Gilson Gray’s continuingly growing Residential Conveyancing department. Gilson Gray LLP is a comprehensive law firm, offering expert legal, property and financial services. We support clients throughout their entire lifetime. Gilson Gray’s New Business team plays an integral role in the development of business and the introduction of transactions to the conveyancing team, ensuring a strong relationship with existing referrers and clients alike.
We focus on ensuring we provide the highest level of advice and on-going service to our clients. This role can be based either in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic New Business and Home Buying Advisor to join our successful New Business team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional service and playing an important role in helping clients achieve their property goals.
The Role
As a New Business and Home Buying Advisor at Gilson Gray LLP, you will be a key part of our team, supporting clients throughout their property journey and ensuring they receive a seamless, positive experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Building strong relationships with clients and referrers, ensuring they receive a high-quality and personalised service.
· Keeping clients and referrers informed and supported throughout every stage of the process.
· Providing guidance on the Scottish property market, including current trends and local pricing insights.
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client information, including circumstances, funding arrangements and progress using our internal systems.
· Supporting clients with property processes including sale and purchase conveyancing, equity release, re-mortgages and transfer of title work.
· Working closely with the New Business Management team and providing regular updates on progress and opportunities.
The role will include some weekend working, with weekends scheduled on a rotational basis to ensure we continue to provide excellent support and service to our clients when they need us most.
Required Knowledge and Experience
We’re looking for someone with experience in a property or conveyancing environment who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and building lasting relationships.
Ideally, you will have:
· Previous experience within property, conveyancing, client services, sales or purchase negotiation.
· Knowledge of the Scottish property market and conveyancing process.
· Experience using client management systems.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, including confidence using Excel.
· Excellent customer service skills, with experience communicating professionally by telephone and email.
