Job Summary
This job will require a large amount of working away, operatives will be provided with a food allowance per day as well as a bonus for each job completed and travel money. With all accommodation and transport provided.
The main bulk of the work will be gutter maintenance so an IPATH would be ideal however not essential as training will be provided.
We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems to ensure safety, durability, and functionality. This role requires a practical individual with a strong understanding of construction and roofing techniques, capable of working at heights and handling various tools and materials. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in roofing maintenance within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of roofing systems to identify damage or potential issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance work on roofs, including patching leaks and replacing damaged materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide repair procedures.
- Assist with fabrication and installation of roofing components as required.
- Undertake welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication tasks as necessary for comprehensive roof maintenance.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during maintenance operations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during operations at heights or on ladders.
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing and construction.
- Ability to work at heights confidently.
