Location: Outskirts of York (YO32) – You will need your own transport as public transport doesn’t reach us.
Hours: Permanent, year-round. Shifts are usually between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on the season. Weekend availability is essential.
The Role
We are looking for an energetic, hands-on Park Supervisor to join our permanent team.
This isn’t a back-office management role where you sit behind a screen. You’ll be right on the floor, leading from the front across our busy food outlets - from our main café spaces to our bustling seasonal kiosks, entrance gates, and outdoor activities. You’ll be the go-to person during a rush, keeping the team motivated, making sure the team are in the right place, the park looks great, and ensuring families leave us with fantastic memories.
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can coach a young team, take ownership of daily operations, and keep standards high, you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, support, and motivate the front-line team on shift. You’ll help train new staff, delegate tasks, and keep morale high when the farm gets busy.
- Daily Operations: Open and close park & food outlets, manage morning setups, and ensure cash handling and till procedures are followed accurately.
- Quality & Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and stock rotation (FIFO). You’ll ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed. Ensure all play equipment is looked after, checked daily, and reported on any safety issues.
- Customer Experience: Stay visible on the floor during peak times to handle customer queries, manage queue times, and ensure service is fast, friendly, and accurate.
- Stock Control: Assist with monitoring stock levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring outlets are fully prepped for the day ahead.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Experience: You have worked in a busy outdoor attraction, hospitality, café, or quick-service restaurant environment and have experience supervising or leading a team.
- The Ability to Think on Your Feet: You thrive under pressure, can spot operational bottlenecks before they happen, and stay calm when a big lunch rush hits.
- Strong Communication: You are great with people—both coaching a teenage team and chatting with families and visitors.
- Reliability & Drive: You take pride in how an outlet looks and are happy to roll up your sleeves and muck in with cleaning, serving, or stocking up whenever needed.
Why Join Us?
- A Unique Workplace: Forget sterile restaurants or boring café chains. Your working environment is lively, fun, and surrounded by an award-winning farm park.
- Progression: We love to develop our people. You’ll get a thorough induction into how the farm runs and the chance to build genuine management experience.
Important Holiday Notice: Because we are a major family attraction, our absolute busiest times are the school holidays. You must be fully available to work during key trading periods, including Easter, Summer, Halloween, and our major Christmas event (specifically November 21st to December 24th).
