Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic USED VANS SALES MANAGER/DIRECTOR to lead our sales team specialising in used van sales. (new 150 van site close to town centre)The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a motivated sales team within a fast-paced automotive environment, ensuring excellent customer service and achieving business objectives. A strong background in B2B sales, sales management, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase used van sales and market share.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, fleet managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Oversee the utilisation of CRM software to track leads, customer interactions, and sales progress.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge, upselling techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns tailored to target audiences.
- Ensure high standards of phone etiquette and professional communication at all times.
- Manage negotiations and close deals efficiently while maintaining profitability.
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance for senior management.
Skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the automotive or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience in sales management or directorial roles.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client bases effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software to streamline customer relationship management processes.
