Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Specification/Quality Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes. The Product Specification/Quality Assistant will work closely with various departments to maintain compliance and improve product quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage bespoke customer specification systems and technical libraries to ensure they are appropriately maintained and updated
- Build and maintain customer QAS documents. Manage new products and amend existing products.
- Generate and verify artwork and finished printed packaging and labels to ensure compliance with our customers and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and analyse data related to product quality, providing insights for corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including inspection results and non-conformance reports.
- Support training initiatives for staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in food preparation in a commercial environment.
- Experience in producing and maintaining accurate records
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with standards.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members across various departments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
