Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Subway Assistant Manager to join our team at our new refurbished Subway store at Hunts Cross shopping centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for food service, leadership, and team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, particularly with food preparation and supervision, is highly desirable. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the smooth running of the outlet.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise staff to ensure efficient food preparation, cooking, and serving processes
- Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support team management by training new employees and providing ongoing coaching
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and customer service
- Manage stock levels and coordinate food production to meet customer demand
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Contribute to sales targets through effective team leadership and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous
- Barista or serving experience is a plus but not essential
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality excellence
