Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Part-time Laundry Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our laundry services, ensuring that all linen and textiles are cleaned, maintained, and prepared to the highest standards. The position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment, with a focus on attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Previous hotel experience is considered an advantage but is not essential.
Duties
- Collect, sort, and load laundry into washing machines and dryers according to specified procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Fold, iron, and organise clean linen and textiles for distribution or storage
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages
- Support other housekeeping or hospitality staff as required to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow all hygiene standards and procedures to guarantee high-quality service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Previous experience working in a laundry or similar environment will be helpful
- Familiarity with laundry machinery and processes is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service and colleagues
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
