Job Description
We are looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our domiciliary (home care) team, supporting adults in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in the community.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support clients to live safely and independently at home, while also guiding and supporting care staff. You will play a key role in care planning, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of care, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and supervise care staff working in the community
- Provide hands-on care to clients in their own homes, including:
- Personal care (washing, dressing, continence care)
- Mobility support
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in partnership with clients and their families
- Monitor clients’ health and wellbeing and report any concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records using digital systems
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
- Support effective communication within the care team through regular updates and meetings
- Assist with care-related administration and rota or care coordination tasks
- Support the induction, training, and mentoring of new or junior staff
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and CQC requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in domiciliary or community care
- Previous senior, supervisory, or team-leading experience (desirable)
- A caring, compassionate approach with a genuine passion for supporting people at home
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, and colleagues
- Confident IT skills for care notes and care planning systems
- Good understanding of safeguarding, care standards, and best practice in home care
- A driving licence is preferred due to community travel, but not essential depending on location
