The Role
We are looking for a confident, hands-on and energetic Duty Manager to join our Acocks Green team.
This is more than an operational role. Alongside supporting the day-to-day running of the centre, you'll be an ambassador for the business, building relationships within the local community and helping drive bookings and awareness through local outreach activities.
You'll lead from the front, inspire your team, and help create memorable experiences for every customer who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and motivate the team during shifts, maintaining high standards and a positive atmosphere.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure the venue is clean, safe, compliant and presented to a high standard.
- Manage day-to-day operational duties including cash handling, cashing up and bookings.
- Assist with stock control, reporting and shift administration.
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, clubs and community groups.
- Promote group bookings, events and partnership opportunities within the local area.
- Actively represent Discobowl Acocks Green within the local community.
Your Profile
- Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality, leisure or customer service.
- Confident and outgoing with strong communication skills.
- Comfortable approaching local businesses and developing community relationships.
- A natural leader who leads by example.
- Organised, reliable and able to perform well in a busy environment.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for customer service.
