Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative/Picker to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate picking, packing, and loading of goods within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving operations. The ideal applicant will be physically fit, organised, and capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Accurately pick items according to order specifications using warehouse management systems
- Pack goods securely for dispatch, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Handle materials safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and maintaining organisation within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Perform quality control checks to ensure items meet company standards
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts & EOP
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of materials handling and forklift operation is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift
- Attention to detail in picking and packing tasks
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks confidently

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
