ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,200 colleagues. We are now looking for a Multiskilled Packaging Operative to join our team and play a key role in ensuring packaging materials are available, accurate and ready to support our production operation.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role combining packaging, stock control, administration and production support activities. You will be responsible for ensuring packaging materials are received, labelled, stored and issued correctly while maintaining full traceability and supporting the smooth flow of production.
This is a 4 on 4 off night shift position.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book packaging deliveries into the ERP system.
- Move packaging safely across site using MHE and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure packaging is correctly labelled, traceable and available to production when required.
- Erect flat-pack boxes in line with production plans and store them safely.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages and investigate discrepancies.
- Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate packaging records.
- Quarantine damaged packaging and complete the relevant documentation.
- Support administrative activities, including delivery notes, filing and invoice processing.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Packaging teams to support operational requirements.

What You'll Bring
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Prophet (desirable).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
