Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled or semi-skilled Steel Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication and assembly of steel components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. Duties
- Operate various fabrication tools including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to join steel components accurately
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other steel materials according to specifications
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
- Measure and mark materials using basic maths to ensure precise cuts and assemblies
- Assist in the fabrication of structural steel components and sheet metal parts
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Support the assembly process by fitting fabricated parts into larger structures or systems
Experience
- Previous experience in steel fabrication or a related field
- Familiarity with MIG welding, hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical principles is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations are required
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance is essential for success in this role
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
