We’re looking for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our supportive team in Widnes and help create meaningful moments every single day.
This home supports one child on a dedicated 2:1 staffing arrangement, giving you the time and space to build strong relationships and make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:
No two days are the same — and that’s exactly what makes this role rewarding.
You will:
· Provide consistent, nurturing day-to-day support for children and young people
· Create a safe, positive, and emotionally supportive home environment
· Follow and contribute to personalised care plans
· Build trusting relationships through communication, patience, and understanding
· Support education, appointments, routines, hobbies, and fun activities
· Lead shifts when managers aren’t on site
· Safely transport young people to school, appointments, and activities
· Keep records and reports accurate and up to date
· Work closely with colleagues and professionals to achieve the best outcomes
· Support the Deputy and Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
What We’re Looking For:
You’ll need:
✔ Right to work in the UK
✔ Full manual UK driving licence
✔ Be aged 25+ (insurance requirement)
✔ Have held your driving licence for at least 2 years
✔ Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins
✔ Ability to complete enhanced DBS checks and safer recruitment requirements
Qualifications (minimum requirement)
You’ll hold one of the following:
· Level 3 Diploma in Children, Young People and Families Practitioner
· Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce
· NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (Children and Young People)
