Vesper is an elegant neighborhood dining and cocktail destination at Exmouth Market, curated by Chef Jackson Boxer. Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. We are now looking for an energetic, organized Bar Supervisor to lead our talented bar team and elevate our beverage offer. We are committed to developing talent from within, and for the right candidate, this role offers a direct track for career progression into an Assistant Manager position.
The Role
As Bar Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind the bar counter. You will focus entirely on team leadership, guest experience, and service standards. You will work closely with upper management to keep spirits high and service seamless, while fast-tracking your own hospitality management skills.
What You Will Do:
· Lead the Floor: Run busy bar shifts, direct the team, and maintain impeccable service standards under pressure.
· Mentor the Team: Train bartenders on menu specifications, classic cocktail techniques, and premium spirits knowledge.
· Ensure Compliance: Monitor shift health, safety, and licensing laws to maintain a safe, professional working environment.
· Train for Promotion: Shadow upper management to learn bar management, guest relations, and hospitality operations to prepare for an Assistant Bar Manager role.
What We Are Looking For:
· Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience as a Senior Bartender or Bar Supervisor in a premium, fast-paced restaurant or cocktail bar.
· Expertise: Deep passion for and knowledge of mixology, spirits, and wine.
· Leadership: A natural motivator who leads by example, communicates clearly, and stays calm under pressure.
· Ambition: A driven professional looking to take the next step in their career into hospitality management.
· Availability: Flexibility to work a dynamic hospitality rota, including late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
