About the role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work alongside our care teams to support children and young people in their day-to-day lives.
You will help create a safe, nurturing and structured environment where young people feel respected, supported and understood. You will support routines, activities, emotional regulation, safeguarding, recording and positive relationships.
This is not a role where you simply turn up and sit in the background. Our young people need adults who are present, calm, observant, resilient and willing to make a positive difference, even on the difficult days.
What you will be doing
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people
- Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and emotional wellbeing
- Creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment
- Responding calmly and professionally to challenging situations
- Following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns appropriately
- Maintaining accurate records, daily logs, observations and incident reports
- Supporting young people to build confidence, life skills and positive relationships
- Working as part of a wider team to provide consistent care
- Promoting dignity, privacy, respect and choice
- Supporting the delivery of our RESET Care Model: Reassure, Empower, Support, Educate and Transition
What we are looking for
We are looking for people who are caring, resilient and reliable.
You may already have experience in children’s residential care, support work, youth work, education, mental health, learning disabilities or complex needs. However, we are also interested in people with the right values, attitude and willingness to learn.
