We are looking for two caring, reliable and hardworking Kennel Hands to join our team at C Four Paws Boarding Kennels, a 5-star boarding facility.
We are looking for people who genuinely love animals and take pride in providing a high standard of care to our dogs.
The Roles
We have two Kennel Hand positions available.
One of the positions comes with on-site accommodation, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for both employment and a home.
Position with Accommodation
The accommodation is a private 2-bedroom house, including:
- 2 bedrooms
- Kitchen
- Living room
- Bathroom
- Parking for 2 cars
The house is provided as part of the employment package.
The Job
Your role will involve helping to ensure the dogs staying with us receive excellent care and attention throughout their stay.
Duties will include:
- Caring for and supervising dogs
- Feeding and providing fresh water
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels to a high standard
- Exercising and interacting with the dogs
- Monitoring dogs and reporting any concerns
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment
- Providing friendly and caring customer service when required
- Following the kennel's procedures and high standards of care
Working Hours
The role will include weekend working.
Weekend shifts are shared fairly between the kennel staff, so the responsibility is spread across the team.
Flexibility is important, as the kennels operate around the needs of the dogs in our care.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and responsible
- Hardworking and physically active
- Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Caring, patient and attentive
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible with working hours and weekends
- Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Ideally experienced in working with dogs, kennels or animals, although the right person with the right attitude will be considered
Previous kennel experience is an advantage, but a genuine love of dogs, a strong work ethic and reliability are essential.
