Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader-Care to oversee and coordinate care services within a care home environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of care professionals, ensuring the delivery of high quality senior care that meets individual needs and organisational standards. This role offers an opportunity to utilise leadership skills in a compassionate setting, promoting dignity and independence for residents. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to supervising daily operations while maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and staff.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each resident's requirements
- Oversee daily care activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
- Ensure effective communication between team members, residents, and external agencies to facilitate seamless care delivery
- Monitor staff performance, provide training, support professional development, and promote a positive team environment
- Organise rotas and allocate resources efficiently to meet the needs of residents
- Support residents with their daily routines, promoting independence whilst respecting their dignity
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff activities using IT systems
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents and colleagues
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents or supplies as required
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety protocols, and relevant legislation governing senior care services
- Competent IT skills for managing documentation and communication systems
- Previous experience working in a care home environment is essential; additional qualifications in health or social care are advantageous
Pay: £14.00 per hour
