Job Summary:
Duncan Logistics Services Ltd. is seeking a Distribution Planning Coordinator to help organise the flow of goods across our delivery network. The role will focus on preparing distribution plans, coordinating transport requirements, and keeping teams informed of changing volumes and priorities to support reliable customer deliveries.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare daily and upcoming distribution schedules
- Coordinate delivery requirements with warehouse and transport teams
- Review order volumes and plan appropriate distribution capacity
- Track scheduled movements and follow up on delivery exceptions
- Adjust plans when priorities, volumes, or transport availability change
- Maintain accurate dispatch and distribution planning information
- Communicate upcoming requirements to drivers, carriers, and operational teams
- Assist with route and load planning activities
- Coordinate time-sensitive or priority delivery requirements
- Record operational issues and support appropriate follow-up
- Provide planning updates on volumes, schedules, and outstanding deliveries
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, distribution, transport, supply chain, warehouse operations, planning, or a related environment
- Strong organisation and scheduling skills
- Ability to work with changing priorities and delivery requirements
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and logistics or planning systems
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Confidence working with operational information and order volumes
- Practical problem-solving approach
- Previous distribution planning experience is helpful but not essential
- Transferable experience from other transport or operational roles will be considered

Pay: £38,000.00 per year
