We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to customers' premises promptly and professionally
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Verify delivery orders against shipment documentation to ensure accuracy
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting tasks
- Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps effectively
- Physical fitness to handle manual handling tasks and long periods of driving
- Reliable, punctual, with a professional attitude towards customer service
