The Farmer's Dog - Cotswolds
At The Farmer's Dog, we are building a proper great British pub - busy, welcoming and full of character - serving locally brewed Hawkstone beer and fresh seasonal dishes sourced directly from British farmers.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated cleaner to help us maintain a spotless, safe and welcoming environment for our guests and team. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring every visit to the pub feels exceptional.
We need you to have a 'can do' attitude and happy to work on your own or part of a team. You must be a good communicator, both with management and customers. You will be working both inside and outside and it will be an active position.
This is a flexible working position, but would need to cover the following schedule
40 hours over 5 days
Summer hours Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 12.00pm - 8.00pm
Sunday 7.00am - 3.00pm
Winter hours will be slightly different
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tent, pub, including dining areas, toilets inside and outside the building,
- Clear garden of rubbish and keep bins emptied
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers to ensure a pleasant environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleanliness concerns promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are used efficiently and stored correctly.
- Assist with setting up or cleaning areas for events, when needed
- Must be able to work bank holidays

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is a plus
- We would expect you to have a driving license and a vehicle to drive to work, due to our location
Summary
In the role of cleaner at our pub & retail areas, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our patrons. Reporting to the General Operations Manager, your core responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing all areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Strong communication skills and customer service experience are vital, as you may interact with guests and staff. Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
