Duties
- Assist in creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years
- Support daily routines such as play, meal times, nappy changes, and rest periods
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff to support individual development plans
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to care
- Contribute to the implementation of nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols
- Take part in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance your professional growth and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driving license is desirable for roles requiring travel between locations or home visits
- Commitment to completing the Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification successfully
- Management or leadership qualities are a plus as you progress in your career within the nursery environment

Pay: £12,480.00-£16,640.00 per year
