Coffee Shop Supervisor/Assistant

Duties
- Supervise daily coffee shop operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to food safety standards
- Lead by example in preparing high-quality coffee beverages, utilizing skills in espresso extraction, brewing, and food handling
- Train and mentor team members on coffee preparation, POS systems, customer service, and food safety protocols
- Manage cashier/till operations.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food industry regulations and health codes through diligent food safety practices
- Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, resolving conflicts promptly, and promoting teamwork
- Flexible to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Extensive barista experience with proficiency in coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Exceptional customer service abilities to create welcoming experiences for diverse guests
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, serving, and safety standards within a café or food service setting
- Effective communication skills to train staff and interact confidently with customers
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Daytime operations, flexible to work weekends and holidays
- Fast-paced environment
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
