White Rose Repointing & Restoration Ltd is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Repointing Labourer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of brick and stone repointing, helping to restore and preserve buildings to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects while developing your skills within a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by protecting surrounding surfaces and ensuring safe access.
- Rake out deteriorated mortar from brick and stone joints using hand and power tools.
- Mix and apply mortar in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist with repointing, brick replacement, and general restoration works.
- Operate hand tools, grinders, extraction equipment, and other site machinery safely.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- UTR Number and must be registered under the CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) before starting work.
- Previous experience in construction, repointing, brickwork, or a similar trade is preferred, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at height when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
Desirable
- Experience using grinders, dust extraction equipment, and mortar mixing equipment.
- Experience in brick replacement or heritage restoration.
- Additional construction qualifications or tickets.
