Position: Truck Driver (C1 License)
Reporting To: Driver Manager
Job Summary:
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the truck, ensuring the timely delivery and collection of goods across local and national routes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliveries and Collections
· Deliveries and collection of palletised freight
· Safely operate the truck on assigned routes, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery and collection of goods.
· Plan and follow efficient routes, adjusting as needed to account for traffic, weather, and delivery schedules.
· Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles, promptly reporting any issues to ensure the trucks remain in good working condition.
Compliance
- Licence and Certification: Maintain a valid CE Driving Licence, CPC card, and Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring all are current and compliant with regulations.
- Regulatory Adherence: Strictly comply with all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all operations.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring records related to deliveries and collections are up to date.
Customer Service
- Client Interaction: Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients, providing excellent customer service during all interactions.
- Issue Resolution: Address any delivery or collection issues promptly, striving to resolve them to the customer’s satisfaction and reporting unresolved matters to the Driver Manager.
Other Duties
- Flexibility: Adapt to varying start and finish times based on delivery schedules, with the ability to accommodate last-minute changes as required by the business.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, within or outside the department.

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver.
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of driving regulations, particularly those related to commercial vehicles and freight.
- Excellent route knowledge of Northern Ireland and surrounding areas.
Education:
- Licence: Valid CE Driving Licence is required.
- CPC and Tacho Card: Up-to-date CPC and Tachograph Driver Card are mandatory
