Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Supervisor to oversee financial operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense management.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, or Xero.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to support organisational decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies related to financial reporting.
- Coordinate with auditors during audits and facilitate the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Lead the optimisation of financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy across departments.
- Support the training and development of finance staff to enhance team capabilities.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Skills
- Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero and other platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs.
- Effective leadership skills to supervise a team of finance professionals.
- Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- AAT qualified.
