The Role
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Disconnecting existing street lighting tails.
- Reconnecting new tails to LED lanterns.
- Testing and inspecting completed installations.
- Carrying out work in accordance with current highway electrical standards.
- Completing work safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Working closely with supervisors and other operatives on live highway projects.
Essential Qualifications & Certifications
Applicants should hold (or be working towards where stated):
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- HESA 214 (formerly 210)
- G39 Certification
- Lantra EVQ/NVQ Level 3 Highway Electrical Work (or currently working towards)
- HESA 714 (or equivalent meeting HEA requirements)
- HGA/HERS ECS (CSCS) Card
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Manual Handling
- NPORS or HESA certification suitable for HERS registration
Desirable
- Previous experience working on highway electrical or street lighting projects.
- Experience with LED lantern replacement programmes.
- Good understanding of testing and inspection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Pay
Rates negotiable on experience.
